Winter Meeting
Standing at the corner,
I wait to cross the street,
Standing in the cold,
My knees feel so weak
I see you comming and I start to walk,
Away from you, down another block,
You still follow, silently in the snow,
Please stop, I don't want you to know,
You walk faster and closer you get,
I can't take this, no just yet,
I want to see you and you do not,
I build up my courage and I stop
You stop behind me, I feel your breath
I know this feeling, this feeling of death,
I bow my head and start to cry,
You lift up my chin and wipe my eyes,
"I'm sorry" I say, and stare at you,
"well," you say "this is new"
"I miss your face and I miss your smile,
I wish you could have stayed for a while"
"And if you stayed, you'd hear me say.."
I start to worry and tuen away,
"....I love you, and I never want to be apart"
I turn back and say
"You've filled it, the hole in my heart"

First Kiss
In kindergarden you always get along,
Always sing the same old song,
Never once did you look at differences,
Never faced any high fences
Throughout school he'll stay your friend,
Always with you till the end,
Until that night when you're all alone,
When his warmth overcomes your cold,
Gazing at the stars you start to wonder,
Is this just the kind of love you share with your mother?
You look at him and he looks at you,
Both of you wondering what to do
As he scoots toward you, you feel his breath,
Your feeling turn to love, rather than death,
You turn to him, he's already turned to you,
You're still wondering what he'll do
As he leans in, his lips meet yours,
All of your problems are behind closed doors,
Eyes are closed, hearts start to burst,
Both of you wonder; who did it first
And with that your lip meeting ends,
Never again saying, "We're just friends"
That's a feeling you'll never miss,
Your first true love, your very first kiss.
