OMG!!!!!!!!!!! Yay for finally having a wrock band! If someone could PLEASE!!! get me the melody for "Alone" I swear I'll write out a harmony on Tuesday, even if it kills me (which it probably won't). Anyways....*squeal* we need to get our music on WZRD and Podcast of Awsome once we actually record stuff. Oh, we can use my computer to edit and stuff 'cuz I kind of know how to do all that stuff....I think we also have all the recording stuff....gotta check with mommy.

yes, we totally need to send our music to WZRD and podcast of awesome when it's recorded. We also need a myspace for other people to listen to our amazing music (again,, when it's recorded)
I'm trying to write the lyrics (and melody) to a song about Harry and Teddy to be called "Echoes" (sp?). I'll try to get that to you Christina. When you're writing the harmonies please remember to write parts out for all the parts (we should include drums and guitar even if we don't have them yet)

okay, I'll write violin parts, bass parts, and voice (the harmony to melody) but someone else does guitar, and piano...maybe I could do it *shrugs* I'm gonna say leave drums out though 'cuz a) give a drummer a beat and their good an b) we don't have drums yet and probaly wont

yeah, hey! anyone else looking at this thread that plays guitar or drums! join us!
we offer good wages(too much fun to mention per hour) and we're totally awsome!
And we need recording supplies....Let's make songs our first priority, though. And if someone's ever board and wants to set up a myspace...by all means, have a party.

I WROTE A SONG!!!! It's called Echo and I'm happy with it (at the moment) I'll get melody stuff to you, Christina, as soon as I write it out (This may take a while).

Okay, I have all the recording stuff, I just need to check with my mom about editing. Also, if Erik plays guitar (by the way THANK YOU!!!!!) so all we need are drums.....but that's not essential. If worse comes to worse I'll just use the drum kit on my keyboard and add that in with everything else. Also, Joanna and I are getting together to make a myspace soon, we just need to find a time to get together....maybe if you come to the KMSO childrens' concert with me on Sunday we could do it before hand *evil grin* Other than that, please please PLEASE get me melodies. I was going to call Briane and just have her sing it for me, but I have no staff paper (so now I need money to go to White House to pick some up). If I have staff paper and a melody I will write down harmonies for voice, parts for violin, and I'll try to do bass parts and guitar, but I may need some help....Brinae, if you could do piano stuff that'd be awsome, but if not I'll get mom to help me so then don't sound too bad. *takes a deep breath after writing such a long post* YAY US!!! We're finally in a band!

And I can't believe we're finally doing this, after 4 years(more?) of talking on and off of starting a band, we're finally doing it!
Oh, btw, this GSA concert is too soon, but if we do it again, we could probably play at that concert. Meaning, if our scheduelles work and we feel ready, we play. They won't not let us play.
And when I have time this week-end I'll write out melodies, possibly get cracking on piano parts as well....

Working on melody today for "Echo". I'm going to need someone's help with this one bit at the end of the verse. Okay, I'd just like to show you this one band called Jethro tull. It's got a flute in it (THe guy sings and plays flute, but not at the same time) My dad mentioned it when I told him we were starting a wrock band. YAY!!! thanks, I have a harmony for Echo, but I need to figure out exactly how the parts'll work. WZRD finally came out with a new podcast, and they were talking about interviewing people, and wanting people to RSVP if they'd want to be interviewed, so I sent them a long random e-mail telling the about Functions of a Rubber Duck and telling them that if they could interview us we'd be soooooo happy! Hopefully someone'll respond soon....*squeal* I actually e-mailed Amy!!!!!!!!!!

For anyone who hasn't heard yet, I e-mailed WZRD asking about Wrock Chicago about a week ago, telling them about our band and how we'd love to be interviewed. I got a reply from Amy last night!!! They'd love to interview us and as soon as our music's been recorded they'd love to play it on their show!!!! *squeal* we're officially part of the Wrock comunity! I'm making a myspace either today or tomorrow, and next Saturday I'd love to get together to practice/ possibly record "Echo" (I know that we can put that one together pretty quickly) so make sure to bug me about parts and stuff 'cuz I want to get everyone their part this week so they can look at it and we can put it all together. I'm also working on "Dear Lilly" but that may take a little longer 'cuz I'm not sure what to do with the vocals....Bri, we need to get together to work on that soon. Well I gotta go, but I just wanted to keep you guys updated. Wrock on!
