interesting...
good series! Lucusfilm's Alien Chronicles. Takes place in a different galaxy and there are no humans-but u don't really notice. The main character is a female Aaroun named Ampris. She is one of the "slave races", one of the many races conquered by the Viis empire. Anyway, Ampris grew up in the imperial palace, as the 'pet' of the Sri-Kaa, Israi(the Kaa is the ruler of the Viis empire, sri-Kaa is the next in line, the crown prince or princess if you will) and that's where the story starts. It shows her growing up and eventually shedding her ignorace about the Viis's lifestyle and treatment of the slave races.... Really good series. I own the 1st and 2nd books(there's three) and still have not read the 3rd, but I want to, it's on my Christmas/Hanukkah list.

OMG, Star Trek: Titan book 4 is coming out. I'm so excited! The ones before it were really good.
I recommend the following: Anything by Tamora Pierce. No really, I've read almost everything she's written and she has amazing stuff. Most of her books come in quartets. She writes in two universes Tortal and Circle of Magic/Circle Opens/Circle Reforged. Both are medieval-ish and have magic. However there are different magical laws in either universe and Circle universe concentrates on magic more and has more magic in the universe, while Tortal has slightly less magic and concetrates more on medieval stuff, especially knight stuff. Almost all the main characters are female, except Briar from the Circle, but there are many male supporting characters. Especially in the Alanna series, which concentrates on Alanna, a girl who disguises herself as a boy to train to be a knight.

while we talk about Diana Wyne Jones books (that would be a reference to howl's moving castle) I recomend the sequel to that book. It's called Castle in the air. as well as the merlin consiricy
alex rider series by Anthony Horowits
teen idol -by Meg Cabot
midnighters trilogy- by scott westerfield (also wrote peeps, and uglies series.)
ella enchanted - by Gail Carson Levine (the movie so sucked in comparison. It doesn't even have the same plot!!!!!!1)
two princesses of bamarre- also by levine
All american girl - By meg Cabot (I'm not sure I recomend the sequel 'cause I haven't really read it, and from what I've listened too, it's not quite so wonderful)
more later...

"Uglies, Pretties, and Specials they're all part of a trilogy, 'tis really good" One of my friends was just talking about those. She said they wre really good. You should check the Clique series (chick flick) There's like 7 of them now and I kinda got most of my friends hooked on them.... (yes i am to blame) lol But their really good. I just finished "Just Listen" too and that was really good. Dramatic, a bit confusing, but good. It goes back and forth between whats happening now in the story to why its happening and it all leads up to this one chapter where you find out why the main character - okay actually i can't tell u that part.... lol if u follow it its good though a lot of things that happen in it your just like okay.... why'd she get so upset? or why'd she do that? and then in that one chapter everything kinda unravels Anyway i need book recomendations because i've read just about every book that looks even somewhat worth reading on amazon lol no but close

I didn't read the first one but I read the second one and it wasnt that great Have you read Avalon High (i think that's the right spelling) by Meg Cabot? That ones really good. There's a sequal to it to but I actually haven't read that yet (doesn't that contradict my last post lol)

I read both of those, and I own Two Princesses of Bamarre. They were both really good. I never saw the movie of Ella Enchanted and I'm glad.
I'd like to read that. I saw some icons about stuff having to do with that book the other day...

It's amazing. I love how cabot uses the King Aurthur legend, and I forget the love interest's name (it's been months I'm sorry, but sometimes I forget things) He rocks. there's a sequel!!! *fan girl squeel* What's the title?

songbreeze- It's not like it's a horrible movie all by itself, but there are extreemely huge differences. Like how prince char isn't her distant cousin (it does however display fan girls quite nicely) Both his parents are dead and is raised by his Evil Uncle (played, ironicaly(sp) by the same guy who plays westly in princess bride). Her step sisters aren't fat, her fairy god mother isn't old, she actually likes her dad, ... the list goes on.

Percy Jackson Books. the first is called lightning theif. I read this maybe a year ago and loved it. I just found out that there are two more and am quietly making plans to visit the library...
It's greek mythology in modern times where the main character is the son (technically illigit. son) of Posidon. It's awesome.
